Playing in tournaments every weekend throughout the summer including the CABA Ultimate World Series in Crystal Lake. We will also be playing other top teams through out the area. We have 15 very talented Freshman & Sophomore players from our area including players from Woodstock High School, Marian Central High School and other surrounding area high schools. In 2006 the Lightning 15 U Travel Baseball team finished with a record of 46 wins, 13 losses and 2 ties. The Lightning won the McHenry County Baseball League and participated in 8 tournaments winning 5 of them. We also placed 5th at the CABA Ultimate World Series in Lebanon, Tennessee (the equivalent of the CABA 15 year old series held in Crystal Lake every year). Over the last 3 years since this 15 year-old team was put together, the Lightning's record has been 124-38-2 Lightning 12's Baseball Overview: Our season begins in January with indoor practices 1-2 times per week. The Lighting 12U team will play approximately 30 games in the McHenry County Baseball League (MCBL), a league of travel teams in the McHenry County area. The Lighting 12U team will also play in individual weekend tournaments in the Chicago land and Northern Illinois area. A special highlight to our 2007 year, and for our players, will be a trip to the Cooperstown All-Star Village to participate in a week long national tournament against 23 other teams from around the United States. This tournament from July 14-20, 2007 will provide our players, coaches and families with a unique baseball experience steeped in the tradition of Cooperstown and the Baseball Hall of Fame. Building on our inaugural travel season in 2006 that saw the Lighting 11U team go 31-19 and finishing in 4th place of the MCBL and this year’s 2007 team has improved significantly and is dedicated to a fun year of competitive baseball. We work hard to play as a cohesive team and improve our individual skills, while representing our families, City, the Lightning organization and our teammates. All home games are played at Main Field located in Emricson Park, Woodstock. Everyone is invited to come see us play! Lightning 11's Baseball Overview: Coming soon!
